Our purpose: To encourage and support new filmmakers to make non violent movies. We do this by providing small grants for short films, and seed money for feature films. New filmmakers are the future of movies. We also encourage established filmmakers to use their influence to help reverse the trend towards ever increasing violence in all media. |

The non violent movie foundation educates about the harm caused by media violence. People say they want to stop movie violence. Trying to end movie violence by opposing and fighting against those who make violent movies would be futile. Instead, we lead by example, supporting the production of non violent movies. In this way, we are doing what we can to "stop movie violence." There are articles on media violence and thoughts and ideas on how to change things. If you are concerned about media violence this website is for you. Please tell others if you want to see more non violent movies instead of violent movies. I am willing to speak to any group about what the Non Violent Movie Foundation does. |
