For filmmakers |
Here's good news for you! If you want to make a short film or a feature film, we can help. For a short film, you can receive a grant of $1500 to pay for it. If you have mostly volunteers, this amount will cover your out of pocket expenses. To qualify, you will have to have either graduated from a film school, or made several shorts on your own. You will need to submit an application which includes a copy of your script. If you want to make a feature film, you can receive seed money of up to $20,000 to get your movie started. To qualify, you will have had to have made several short films, including several which were funded by the foundation as outlined above, as well as your application with a copy of your script. The requirements above are tentative at this time, and subject to change after review by our selection committee. Certain conditions will apply, such as, it cannot be violent of course! Second, any profit will have to be shared with the foundation. In the case of a short, it will be 50%. In the case of a feature film, it will vary depending on what your total budget is. Also, you will have to give credit to the Non Violent Movie Foundation in any advertising, and in the credits. An extra bonus for you is that you will have access to a wealth of experience from experienced filmmakers. This extra help may in some cases include camera and lighting packages. Right now, we don't have money for this. You can help yourself, and help the foundation and other filmmakers, by spreading the word about the foundation. Tell anybody and everybody you can think of. You never know who might want to support this worthy cause. |
Funding is available for movies which are non violent. If you are wondering why there is so much movie violence and what you can do about it, have a look here. Many links to pages which explain why there is movie violence. |
