Right now, help is needed in the following areas: 1. A logo. Have you got artistic talent? Can you make us a logo? 2. Are you a fundraiser who has raised money for non profit foundations before? When you search for the above, you will find many sites which are aware of the dangers of movie violence, and which are trying to do something about it. You can find an email address on the site, and send them a short letter something like the letter below. I suggest you use your own words or you can use this letter if you want, changing it however you want. Include the entire website address, without leaving out any of it, so that they will have everything they need to link to this site. "Hello, My name is..................................... and I am concerned about the effects of movie violence. Recently I found a new foundation which is encouraging new filmmakers to make non violent movies. The foundation recognizes that new filmmakers are the future of movies. Rather than try to stop those making violent movies, the foundation wants to show that non violent movies can make money too, which is something that all producers understand. By encouraging the production of non violent movies, more non violent movies will be made. Over time, by example, it will influence those who are now making these violent movies. It is a round about way of reducing movie violence, and I am supporting it for this reason. Below is a partial list of the celebrities I want to contact. Here are some of the causes that these celebrities support: Peace, Depression, Alcohol Prevention, Civil Rights, Domestic Violence, Drug Abuse, Homelessness, Human Rights, Rape/Sexual Abuse, Self Esteem, Women's Issues, and other worthy causes. Yes, some of them have been in violent movies. And many of them are getting older now, and may realize that they have made meaningless movies in the past. They may mave matured enough, and become aware enough to support us now. And the others have not been in violent movies. With so many on the list, we have a good chance of finding a few who will support us. We only need a few! Think about how this site will take off with a few of their faces on the front page! Some may make substantial donations as well. There are about 400 on the list. I want to send a personalized mailing to each of them, including a DVD. It will cost about $4.00 for each one, so you can see that we need about $1600 ASAP. I can start with sending to about 100 which will require about $400. I am seeking donations now.
